Mmmmm - Maple Syrup

While Daddy was at school, and the car had no wheels, we caught a ride with neighbors up to Chicago's own Maple Syrup festival (conveniently, just north of our house)

Alice, Timmy, Axl and Isabelle listen to a story teller.


Alice asked "Why are there so many trees and plants around?!" (Whoops - we might need to get her out in nature a bit more frequently!) I explained that we were in "the woods" to see the maple trees. Then she asked cautiously, "Are there any bears?"

No - I'm afraid not. We're still well within Chicago city limits.
