Alice got to represent her class in the school spelling bee in front of 250 kids She competed through several rounds, but was ultimately eliminated by the word "mildew".
Being six, Alice wasn't sure what kind of "dew" that was, so she spelled it like she thought "hairdo" was spelled. M i l d o u.
