Setting: Driving to school Monday morning, listening to Christmas carols on the radio.
Sam: "Mom, did Jesus become God?"
Me: "Um... yes"
Sam: "And so he will live forever?"
Me: "Yes, he is eternal"
Sam: "So he can see in the dark?"
** pause **
Me: "Um, I think you mean 'nocturnal', honey. 'Eternal' means that God lives forever."
