I think we did a lot in August that never made it to the blog! While not exactly chronological, here's a look at all the things I meant to tell you about.....
Crazy hair day at camp
Lots of swimming
We got a piano
An old friend came to visit (Hi Jacky!)
There was a crazy Wizard-of-Oz type storm that delayed the block party. But we rallied!
Sam, future mini-golf owner, tried a new course with Maddie and Timmy
While Lach and Alice went to Great America and won this. Yes, it's huge.
Sam and I went on an excursion to Indiana
The delinquent webmaster from Hello Harry to the Max. Evidently busy keeping the boys in line with her yellow plastic baseball bat
I weeded out six months' worth of cardboard creations that had piled up
But a couple were kind of sweet and got to stay
Another old friend swung through town (Hi Ang!)
Dressing like a hippie - flashback day at camp
We went to Georgia & June's Mad Hatter Un-Birthday Tea Party
"Look Mom, I have boobies"
First family Cubs game
They will soon be too big to double up in the dentist's chair
Alice got her third tooth pulled. The 4th shark tooth broke through 36 hours later.
Birthday wish list was carefully thought out
While Georgia, Alice, Nana and Aunt Kate visited the American Girl Doll Store...
Sam and I babysat June & Waylon
Sam and Nana did lunch and shoe shopping
Alice final camp performance
Lach went to Australia. I took the kids out to breakfast. I feel like we have really conquered a mountain for me to take 2 kids out to a restaurant by myself and have it actually be a pleasant experience!
Brookfield Zoo with Kiera and Maddie
End of summer beach picnic dinner
Hanging out with another old friend (Hi Ruby!)
The responsibility of dog-sitting
Making a new friend. Jackson, Sam's new bromance....
Visiting the Lichtenstein exhibit with Nana
