Long Awaited Novelty Golf

A belated August post - The Novelty Golf and Games course is on our route to drop Alice at school. So, Sam saw it from the car... 165 times last year? And add, 30 times we picked her up from school? And it must look pretty enticing to a 3 year old because every time we would drive by Sam would say, "MOM! When can we go there?" (Sometimes specified as, "When can we go there with the monsters?" or "When can we go there with the Statue of Liberdee?") Well Tuesday, after the dentist appt, was Sam's lucky day!!

And it quickly became obvious that I did not need to track the score. I never realized there were so many ways to CHEAT at mini-golf!! Don't like where your ball stopped? Pick it up. Missed hitting the ball the first, second, third time you try? JUST KEEP TRYING! Like the way the ball rolls down the hill and around a curve? Pick up your ball and go back to the top to watch it again. Cool! Sheesh! Pretty hilarious to play mini-golf with novices.

And this was followed by ice cream at the Chocolate Shoppe in Edgebrook. Yuuummm-y!
